Volunteering at Philippine Animal Rescue Team’s Paws and Claws Animal Sanctuary

“When you adopt a shelter pet, you save two lives. The one you adopt, and the one that takes it’s place.”

Ever since I rescued Jamie last month, I’ve been following local animal rescue groups in Facebook. I’ve been reading their stories about the strays that they rescued, some are happily adopted but many still can’t find their forever homes.

Me, wishing that I could help the animals in my own way, responded in Philippine Animal Rescue Team’s call for volunteer photographers for the rescues in their sanctuary to have decent photos to present to the adoptable fur babies. I’m no professional photographer, but I took this chance to help. Using my DSLR and feather cat toy, I visited Paws and Claws Animal Sanctuary or PCAS alone located at San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

Spontaneous Weekend at Burot Beach, Calatagan, Batangas

“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.”

Me and my cousins, Paulo and Kuya Jr, had this spontaneous weekend and went to visit Burot Beach located at Calatagan, Batangas. It was my first time going with them out-of-town. I guess we’re really adults now.

We went to the beach by car. I suggest using Waze since the beach is situated at a secluded place. Once we’re near Burot Beach, we spotted a gate and paid P20 pesos to enter. The guard provided a list of what you should and should not do at Burot Beach and one garbage bag.

Covered in Ashes: Summer Outing at Anawangin Cove

A year after our graduation, my college buddies decided to have our summer get together at Anawangin, Zambales. This experience is different from what we usually do on our get-togethers, camping and beach bumming. We got a voucher from Metrodeal: Anawangin Camping plus Camara Island Sidetrip for Php888 each.

——-

I need someone to foster/adopt this kitten that I rescued last night (June 10, 2015). I think he’s around 3-4 weeks old. I am not allowed to keep pets in my dorm and I am working for almost 10 hours every weekday. This kitten needs to be supervised since he’s still bottle-feeding. I can only take cake of him until Sunday (June 14, 2015). I have been contacting every animal organizations that I know to help me. I’ve been posting about my situation on Facebook and on Instagram, but unfortunately, no one is still available. If you know someone that could help me around Manila or Bulacan, please let me know immediately. Just leave a comment on the comment box below.I still do not have any back-up plans after Sunday. I want him to live and grow to be a happy and healthy cat.

Crazy Cat Lady goes to Cat Cafe Manila

I’ve been a cat lover ever since I was a kid. I remember my first cat Muning, a puspin that was given to me by my neighbor. Since then, I’ve became closer to felines. I’ve adopted several abandoned cats and rescued one before. I was bullied by an elementary classmate while protecting a one-eyed stray cat in our school. My first friend at college was a stray cat at UST carpark. So whenever I see strays, I give them whatever food that they could munch on. Some people find me weird, but they really make me happy.

Because I waste my time scrolling on my News Feed so much, I immediately saw a post regarding a Cat Cafe that is opening their doors this weekend for their soft opening. I was lucky enough to have a ticket reservation at the first day at the first hour of their soft opening last April 11, 2015, 12nn to 1pm.

Baguio City: Itinerary, Tips and Tricks

As a travel beginner, it took me weeks to plan out my itinerary to Baguio. Planning was quite changeling yet a fun thing to do, especially when you do not have any idea on what the place looks like since it was my first time in Baguio. I searched a lot of blogs and read a lot. So for those who are planning their trip to Baguio, below is my sample itinerary:

Up in the Sky: Baguio Trip Day Three

Day 3: October 12, 2014
I woke up early on the last day thinking that this will be our last day on the CIty of Pines. This time, I slept soundly because I was too exhausted walking at buying things last night. Rae was woken up by the music I played on his phone on max while I was jumping and dancing on the bed. He’s Irritated. I know he wants to throw the pillows at me, tie me up and hide me the closet, but he was too sleepy and weak to do that. Haha!

Up in the Sky: Baguio Trip Day One

(This was originally posted on my personal Tumblr blog. Rae and I went to Baguio last October 10-12, 2014.)

This trip is very special to me since this is the first ever vacation that I used my hard-earned money and it’s all really worth it. Our Baguio vacation was planned for almost 4 months and I am really grateful that me and Rae enjoyed our first ever out-of-town trip together.
